8 Team Format

 - Teams divided into 2 pools of 4

 > Each team will play the 3 teams in their pool
 > Hammer in the first end of all games, including finals, will be determined by a coin flip
 > Buzzers to control length of games will be used in all games including finals
Typical buzzer rules apply - finish the end and play one more end
 > Points will be awarded as follows:
3 points for a win
1 point each for a tie, with a draw to the button to award the extra point
0 points for a loss
 > The winners of each pool will play each other in the A final
2nd plays 2nd in the B Final
3rd plays 3rd in the C Final 
4th plays 4th in the D Final 
Tiebreakers after Pool Play
 > In the event of a tie between teams in a pool, the tiebreakers will be as follows:
1.  Head to Head matchup
2.  Number of regulation wins (eg 2 wins, 1 loss = 6 pts, 3 ties with extra points = 6 pts) 
 > In the event of a 3 way tie - A beat B, B beat C, C beat A
Draw to the button between the 3 teams will determine placement
Ties in Final games after "Regulation play" will be determined by Draw to the Button
Draw to the Button Rules

Maximum of 2 sweepers are allowed for all draw to the button shots

 

Sweepers may not be swapped out while the rock is traveling

 

 

You can NOT sweep your opponents rock during draw to the button

 

Measurements will be taken and recorded after the first shot and the rock removed
